Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has a habit of turning his audience into his fans by his easy going wit and simple demeanour.
44-year-old Trudeau, who assumed office in November last year, surprised everyone by including four Sikh-Canadians in his Cabinet.
A fact that he attributed to while poking fun at his Indian counterpart while speaking at a function in Washington, US.
The quip came when Trudeau was taking 10 questions from students at the American University in northwest Washington during his state visit to the US.
Ironically he was replying to a student named Jahan from the Punjab province of Pakistan told Trudeau that it was really great to see so many Punjabis in his cabinet.
“I have more Sikhs in my cabinet than Modi does,” Trudeau quickly retorted.
Trudeau is not just one of the youngest state premiers in the modern world, he is also one with lot of progressive ideas and is vocal in his support of them.
His cabinet celebrates Canada’s rich diversity too. We had earlier reported thatPunjabi is now the third official language of Canada’s Parliament.
We also profiled his Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan, who is considered by many as the most badass defence minister ever!
And the people of Canada stand by Trudeau’s decision too. In fact Harjit is so famous in Canada, he has a burger named after him
